Shoals Technologies Group and Solantro Semiconductor partner for Development of Advanced Module Integrated Electronics, AC-InterConnect and Enhanced Balance of System (BOS) Solutions

Portland, TN / Ottawa, ON Canada October 16, 2011 – Shoals Technologies Group and Solantro Semiconductor today announced a product development partnership to accelerate the deployment of highly-integrated, module integrated electronic (MIE) solutions with innovative AC–InterConnect and Balance of System (BOS) implementations.

These solutions are designed to optimize and accelerate the integration of distributed AC PV-inverters directly within Solar PV modules to meet the reliability, performance, cost and built-in safety requirements of PV stakeholders. This product development partnership will result in the global availability of intelligent, highly-integrated nano and micro-inverter solutions in a flexible form-factor to cost-effectively address BIPV, Thin-Film and c-Si Solar PV module integrated electronics in power ratings ranging from 50W to 300W.

Tigo Energy Maximizer® Solution Incorporated Into Shoals Technologies Group MultiLink™ Junction Box Product Line

Shoals Technologies Group and Tigo Energy® announced today the launch of smart module products designed to increase the power output efficiency of solar photovoltaic (PV) installations.

Under the agreement, the Tigo Energy Maximizer® Solution will be incorporated into the Shoals Technologies MultiLink™ Junction Box product line. The MultiLink Junction Box system streamlines installation and inventory management by giving the module a universal and interchangeable interface compatible with all of today’s leading electronics manufacturers.
