Shoals Technologies Group Receives Top Score for Cost and Value in PHOTON Consulting’s Latest Research Report

PORTLAND, TENNESSEE, July 15, 2014 – Shoals Technologies Group, a global leader in photovoltaic components, has been named a top-rated solar power company in PHOTON Consulting’s 2014 cost benchmark report.

The True Cost of Solar Power 2014 is an annual survey of cost along the solar power supply chain. The report analyzes all costs in solar power systems including modules input and manufacturing costs, inverters, racks, wiring, monitoring, customer acquisition, system design and procurement, subsidies, permitting, financing and contracting, mechanical installation, electrical installation, inspection, interconnection and performance/warranty. Analysis covers a universe of more than 1,000 solar companies involved across the steps of the supply chain across dozens of global markets and segments. This report focuses on the “true cost of solar power” and emphasizes that companies must do more than deliver low cost for individual components; they must create value for end-customers, installers and financiers by delivering solutions that drive down total cost of ownership, not just cost in one step of the supply chain. Shoals Technologies Group Signs Framework Agreement for New Asia/Pacific Operations and Manufacturing Headquarters

Beijing, China – December 15, 2013 – Shoals Technologies Group, a global leader in photovoltaic components, formally signed an agreement for the investment and establishment of a new Asia/Pacific operations and manufacturing headquarters.

The facility, located in the newly established Jiaxing PV High-Tech Industrial park, will allow Shoals to manufacture a broad line of industry leading balance of systems components for the rapidly expanding domestic Chinese market.

Jiaxing PV Hi-tech Industrial Park is located at Xiuzhou New Area, with a total area of 14.2 square kilometers, and was officially listed in December 2012 to develop a “five-in-one” innovation trial for the provincial photovoltaic industry. The five pillars of the trial are an industrial base construction trial, an industrial technology innovation trial, an applied commercial mode innovation trial, a regional smart grid innovation trial with distributed energy access policy and lastly a system innovation trial.

“The signing of this agreement represents an expanded commitment in 2014 by Shoals to supply the domestic Chinese market. We recognize the potential and have already witnessed significant growth recently in mainland projects. With this new facility we hope to not only bring our products to these future projects, but also to provide our expertise to accelerate the adoption of photovoltaics as a primary source of energy in the region.” said Said Mr. Dean Solon, President & CEO of Shoals Technologies Group.

The signing was held during the Jiaxing PV Industry Devlopment (Beijing) Co-Operation Symposium held in Beijing, and was overseen by Deputy Director of the National Energy Board Energy Secretary, Liang Zhipeng and chaired by Mayor Xiang Sheng.

Synapse Wireless and Shoals Technologies Group Reveal New Solar Field Installation Tool

July 19, 2013 [Huntsville, AL]- Synapse Wireless and Shoals Technologies Group are at it again. In advance of unveiling their one-of-a-kind Wireless ARC Fault detection solution at Intersolar Europe in Munich last month, the companies are pleased to announce a simple, efficient tool designed to speed solar field installations.

It’s well known that the “old” way of installing solar fields is not only time-intensive, but also manually laborious. Panels and arrays need miles of trenches dug for the cables and copper to be attached and then must be powered on one at a time to individually identify those that were broken or malfunctioning during commissioning.  However, the technology created by Synapse and Shoals is specifically designed to reduce the costs and tedious burdens of not only digging and installing — but maintaining — solar fields, all in real time.
