The Shoals Solar Recombiner, or Fused Recombiner, works seamlessly with our mini BLA system. This solution combines inputs from multiple solar arrays into a larger DC feeder, enabling a simpler, more flexible site design. It helps manage high-voltage DC power, improves system organization, and reduces wiring complexity.

Built-in protection features such as fuses and surge protection help ensure safe operation as power moves through the system. Ultimately, that electricity is delivered to the grid, helping power communities with clean energy.

This 8 MWac solar project was built in 2012 and provides 13.5 GWh annually to Volkswagen’s Chattanooga manufacturing and assembly plant. Volkswagen (VW) selected Silicon Ranch as its solar partner based on its ability to bring together TVA, Electric Power Board of Chattanooga, and local government officials to agree on a unique approach toward achieving their sustainability objectives, as well as Silicon Ranch’s proven track record in successfully completing complex transactions. Solar is the most visible component of VW’s overall carbon reduction and energy strategy.
